Please consider remembering UCLH Charity in your will.
Money can be left to a particular department or ward, or to our general fund, and we will follow your wishes about how you would like your legacy to be used.
You can choose to leave us a share of your estate or alternatively set aside a fixed sum. Recent changes to the rules on inheritance tax mean that if you leave 10% of your estate to charity, you pay less tax: you can find out more about this at www.legacy10.com.
You can download more information about leaving a legacy: this includes specimen wordings, a list of the steps you need to take and a checklist to help you.
Legacies are hugely important to the work we carry out and benefit patients in many ways. Some of the stories in our news archive show how the hospitals have benefited.
Create an in memoriam page
You can also support our work by donating or collecting money in memory of a friend or relative, perhaps in lieu of flowers at a funeral. This could contribute to research to help others who are suffering. For example, we recently received more than £8,000, collected by a supporter in memory of his young wife who was treated at UCH. This money was used to provide artwork in her memory to brighten up the ward for other patients.
The online donation website JustGiving can host fundraising pages in memory of your loved ones.
