Well done to everyone who ran to support UCLH in the iconic London Landmarks Half Marathon on 6 April.
Sporting their UCLH Charity vests, 27 runners enjoyed the sunny spring weather to run the iconic half marathon last weekend. The event, which covers 13.1 miles, sees thousands of runners striding through the closed streets of London, passing some of the most well known and iconic sights of our capital city.
#TeamUCLH included several members of staff, runners from corporate organisations and supporters with a connection to UCLH.
All the runners were supported by friends, family and members of the fundraising team who gathered at the cheerpoint at mile ten with St Paul’s Cathedral providing a stunning backdrop.
Rosannah Dawood, head of fundraising said, “It was wonderful to see all the runner’s sprint past our beautiful cheerpoint at St Pauls, the atmosphere was brilliant and the sunny weather kept everyone’s spirits up as they passed by. Congratulations to everyone who took part!’
So far, our runners have so far raised over £10,000 for UCLH Charity.
If you’re inspired by our runners but not quite ready to take on a half marathon, the Saucony London 10K is a great challenge that takes in many beautiful landmarks across the city. Taking place on 13 July, it’s a popular event, and we still have a few places left. Sign up asap to secure your place – email events
