Meet the UCLH Charity management team.
Philip is the charity’s Chief Executive. He first joined the charity in 2000 as one of the trustees and became its first Chief Executive in March 2007. He was a non-executive director and deputy chairman of the UCLH Foundation Trust for over 15 years.
His background is in finance, investments and manufacturing. He focuses on formulating and implementing projects that are designed to improve patient care and reduce costs, whilst ensuring sustainability for the NHS.
Philip is also a director of the charity’s subsidiaries and a trustee of the Essex Wynter Charity.
Peter is the Development Director for UCLH Charity. He first joined the charity in 1992 as Treasurer having had a long and distinguished career in the National Health Service spanning over 40 years. Peter spent 25 years as Finance Director at a number of London teaching hospitals and latterly as Director of Capital Investment at UCLH with board responsibility for strategic development.
Peter was responsible for the construction and commissioning of the new University College Hospital, one of the largest and most complex teaching hospitals built under the government’s private finance initiative.
Zung joined the Charity in the 1990s. She has been involved in a number of restructures of NHS charities. She oversees the operations of the charity, from governance to income generation and grant making processes.
Tim joined the charity in 2022 as Head of Finance, bringing with him 20 years’ experience in the Charity Sector. He oversees all aspects of the charity’s finances, administers its discretionary funds and manages the finance team.
